Mankato Senior Expo 2009 Kelsey Did Shine!

Mankato Senior Expo was Tuesday May 19th. Kelsey charmed the hearts of many of southern Minnesota's senior population and many expo vendors. She was having so much fun she stayed a few hours longer!

Miss Mankato 2009 and Miss Mankato's director are quite the networking duo!!! We scored big for our local program and the Miss MN program!

Nothing but excellent comments came our way...here are a few, and I mean just a few, there were so many more!

M.A.C.S. Nite was so much fun! Kelsey got a taste of Las Vegas so she will be ready for the real deal! All our sponsors and supporters came out for a night of fun and entertainment. Kelsey performed her Miss MN talent but no pictures allowed until Miss MN! She met many new people and saw many friends of the Miss Mankato Program, played heads or tails, then danced for everyone! Elvis needed to leave to perform in St.Paul but stayed to watch Kelsey's talent. Boogie Wonderland rocked the house too! Thanks to Jennifer( she performed last year as Miss MN and M.AC.S. had many requests for her return this year) she co hosted with Brad & Sarah and Nicole( this pasts years Miss Mankato Judge)

A.B.A.T.E. Hot Dog Fundraiser was HUGE!

Thank you to A.B.A.T.E. for allowing the Miss Mankato Scholarship Program to feed your group after your annual parade on Saturday,May 1st. In less than 40 minutes we served over 210 Hot Dogs! The weather was perfect!

Thank to my mom Sandy, my son Jackson, his friends Joe, Josh, and Justin,and this years Miss Mankato judge Troy and his wife Lori for all the help! We were a little worried when the motorcycles started rolling in...it looked like 500 bikers and we did not want to run out of hot dogs! We made it and even had a few left overs for us workers!!!

Looking forward to next year already!

A Breakfast Fit For A Queen!

Miss Mankato Schoalrship first Breakfast Fundraiser was fun! We had 44 attend and eat a breakfast that was fit for a Queen! Thank you to Pub 500 for alowing us to raise funds for the scholarship program! Thanks to everyone who donated extra funds too!

Starlight Gala Event

The Starlight Gala Event was held this past Saturday at the Alltel Center. Kelsey joined many supporters for a fun night of food, silent & live auction, entertainment & dancing with popular band, Powerhouse, and great camaraderie in support of One Bright Star and the Yellow Ribbon program. Kelsey got great reviews.

That's right - free pancakes!* The good news is that you can get the same great deal at your local IHOP. From 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on February 24 at participating IHOPs across the country, you can get a free short stack (three) of IHOP's famous buttermilk pancakes.For every short stack of pancakes served on National Pancake Day, IHOP guests are invited to make a donation to Children's Miracle Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children with 170 Children's Miracle Network hospitals across the U.S., or other local charities.

Miss Minnesota Joins Mankato Public Safety for National Night Out on 8-7-07

Before Jennifer was crowned Miss Minnesota 2007, Miss Mankato was already scheduled for Mankato's Public Safety National Night Out.

Over 40 parties were scheduled in the city. The night started out at 5:30 and we left the last party around10:00pm. Thanks to Police Commander Debbie McDermott and Commander Amy Vokal for teaming up with Jennifer!! She had so much fun!

We had a great time last year teaming up with KTOE, that Miss Mankato was scheduled to join the radio guys for this years Fun Days Parade. How lucky for Mankato to have
Miss Minnesota 2007!
Jennifer was greeted with yells, screams, congratulations,and comments like "she is so beautiful" " what a beautiful smile" "she is going to compete for Miss America" and I saw many taking pictures too!
I walked along the side taking video and to my surprise also received many compliments from the community ! I saw two of this years Miss Mankato's judges at the parade. They said congratulations and I said you chose her first!
