Polar Plunge this Saturday!
This Saturday February 12, our Miss Mankato 2011 has committed to grin and "bear" it for the athletes of Special Olympics Minnesota by participating in the Polar Bear Plunge. Year after year, Miss Mankato makes the jump wearing their crown as they take the plunge! She will be escorted by Jeff Lang AKA Stunt Monkey from HOT967. They are team Beauty and the Beast.
I know — you're probably getting cold just thinking about it! But the cold that they will feel is only temporary; the positive impact they'll have on the lives of over 7,000 Special Olympics Minnesota athletes with intellectual disabilities will last a lifetime!
Make a donation to Special Olympics Minnesota on behalf of Beauty and the Beast taking the Plunge. Any amount would be appreciated — it all goes to a wonderful cause.

P.S. Think warm thoughts for Miss Mankato 2011 Natalie Davis as Saturday approaches. She will need to do her best to keep the crown above water! Jumps past Miss Mankato / Miss Minnesota 2007 Jennifer Hudspeth and crown went completely under when she made her jump in 2008 and Miss Mankato 2009 Kelsey Malecha said she was happy to be alive after her jump!
